Comprehensive Assessment

The Healthspan Assessment.

A complete picture of your health, interpreted as one.

Built around a dedicated assessment day at our Bergen County clinic, the Healthspan Assessment brings your diagnostics, history, physiology and risk profile together for integrated physician interpretation.

It concludes with your written VLM Healthspan Roadmap.

Our Approach

Measured in depth.
Read as a whole.

One physician oversees it, interprets it,
and reviews it with you.

Every measurement in the Healthspan Assessment is there because it helps answer a question about you — your history, your symptoms, your family history, and what you are trying to protect. The scope is broad because the questions are.

The Healthspan Assessment was designed by Dr. Erica Song at Vibrant Life Medicine to bring findings across domains into one integrated physician interpretation. Bloodwork is considered alongside genomics, body composition alongside metabolic and cardiorespiratory data, and sleep alongside cognitive performance. Patterns that may not be apparent in any single report can emerge when the results are read together.

The result is a physician-authored synthesis that brings the findings together into a prioritized VLM Healthspan Roadmap.

What We Assess

Every domain,
read together.

A comprehensive evaluation covers more ground than a routine physical. The Healthspan Assessment measures across the domains that shape energy, resilience, and long-term risk, and interprets them together.

Cardiovascular Health & Risk

Lipids and lipoproteins including ApoB and Lp(a), inflammatory markers, blood pressure, and the family history that helps place those findings in context.

Metabolic Health & Glucose Regulation

Fasting insulin, hemoglobin A1c, and two weeks of real-world continuous glucose data, considered alongside resting metabolic rate and visceral fat.

Hormonal & Thyroid Health

A full thyroid panel, sex hormones, and adrenal markers, interpreted in the context of your symptoms, history, and stage of life rather than against reference ranges alone.

Body Composition & Physical Performance

Lean mass, visceral fat, grip strength, and VO₂ max — what your body is made of, and what it can do.

Brain & Cognitive Performance

Attention, processing speed, memory, and executive function, measured with a standardized battery and interpreted alongside vascular, metabolic, and sleep contributors.

Sleep Health

Sleep quality, daytime sleepiness, and sleep-disorder risk, with home sleep testing when screening indicates the need for it.

Nutrition, Micronutrients & Gut Health

Vitamin, mineral, and fatty-acid status alongside gut microbial patterns — foundations of energy, immune function, and personalized nutrition.

Genomics & Biological Age

Genetic risk patterns and epigenetic measures of biological aging, interpreted in the context of your history and other findings.

How It Works

One day with us.
About eight weeks to the full picture.

Laboratory, genomic, biological-age and other diagnostic results return on different timelines. As they arrive, they are integrated into one physician-authored synthesis. The Healthspan Assessment is anchored by one comprehensive day at our clinic and culminates in a dedicated physician Roadmap Review.

Before your Assessment Day, intake, medical and lifestyle history, cognitive performance testing and sleep risk screening are completed remotely.

Assessment Day

One comprehensive visit · Bergen County

Your day includes an extended physician consultation — your history, symptoms, medications, family history, goals and priorities — alongside body composition, resting metabolic rate, grip strength and VO₂ max testing. Bloodwork is completed after you have met with your physician — at the clinic that day, or afterward at a location of your choosing.

Roadmap Review

Approximately six to eight weeks after your Assessment Day · in person or by video

As results return, your physician integrates the findings across domains. At your Roadmap Review, you review the findings together and receive your written VLM Healthspan Roadmap — what deserves attention now, what can wait, and what should come next.

What You Receive

Your VLM
Healthspan Roadmap.

Written, prioritized, and yours to keep.

Your Roadmap is a written clinical document, authored by your physician once the assessment findings are complete. It is organized by health domain, with each domain answering the same questions: what was measured, what is going well, what deserves attention, and how the findings fit together.

Each finding carries a clear clinical status — a strength to preserve, an opportunity to improve, a clinical priority, or something requiring further evaluation — along with a clear next step. Anything that warrants conventional medical follow-up is identified separately, so it is not lost among opportunities for optimization.

Where reassessment is appropriate, the Roadmap identifies what should be followed and when it should be looked at again. The Roadmap is yours, and you can review it with your own physician. For patients who continue into membership, recent findings can carry forward into ongoing care without unnecessary duplication of testing.

Assessment or Membership

Two ways to work with us.

The Healthspan Assessment has a clear beginning and end. It answers where your health stands today and what deserves attention next, and concludes with your VLM Healthspan Roadmap.
The Assessment can be repeated in a later year to see what has changed.

Membership offers an ongoing clinical partnership. The Assessment evaluates and prioritizes; membership is where your physician implements, manages, and refines that plan over time.

$12,500Per assessment

Ongoing medical management, prescription management, between-visit care,
and other membership services are not included.
